We loved the warm and efficient service from Jose and Begoña. The farmhouse-style hotel with a big terrace was perfect for our group of friends. The location in the countryside was beautiful and convenient for exploring Guernica and the coast.

Great location in a rural setting with fantastic views. The rooms and common areas are well renovated with a mix of old world charm and modern touches. The beds are very comfortable, and the owner provided ergonomic pillows upon request. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, and they were even willing to accommodate special requests like whole fish a la plancha. The staff exemplify Basque hospitality and provide exceptional service.

The wifi in the rooms is weak, making it difficult to stay connected. Additionally, the fact that dinner is served in the same room as breakfast can be a bit off-putting.

We recently stayed at Hotel Urune in a beautifully converted and designed location. the rooms were well-furnished and very comfortable, providing a cool interior. the common areas and surroundings were equally impressive, offering a great space to relax in the middle of nowhere. the Rural setting was fantastic, with stunning views from the top of the valley. the staff were pleasant and there was a friendly, informal vibe throughout the hotel. the hotel was conveniently located, not far from Bilbao and other towns, making it a great base for exploring the area. a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return one day. Cons: We couldn't find any faults at all! 😊.

Authentic & Special

We had an incredible weeklong trip in the Basque Country, and our stay at this hotel made it even more memorable. The location was perfect, with easy access to Guernika, Bilbao, and the Ecopark. The renovated farmhouse nestled on a serene hill provided a peaceful atmosphere, and we enjoyed our mornings on the outdoor patio and evenings in the cozy reading room. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and spacious, and the two-story suite was truly awesome. The staff, especially Izora, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, helping us book a flysch boat tour and accommodating our needs. The hotel's food was lovely, from the breakfast to the free afternoon tea and dinner options. While the Wi-Fi could have been more reliable, it didn't overshadow the overall wonderful experience we had. We highly recommend this hotel for an authentic and special stay in the Basque Country. we'll definitely recommend this hotel.
